The Process
This is a work in progress project that has been halted. The introductory opener for season 1 of Chup & Lyle, the animated series. A project done in collaboration with Lee Angerstein his series from RadRobot.
During the brainstorming process for this opener we took some inspiration from intros such as “The Simpsons”, “Adventure time”, “Rick & Morty” and a “Rocko’s modern life”. The concept idea was to immediately introduce viewers to the world of “Chup & Lyle” in under 30-40 seconds.
We started out production with a series of storyboard sketches, outlining an overall narrative. Animation was done with a series of programs including Photoshop and After Effects. Cell animation was done in both Photoshop, Adobe Animate and Procreate. Credit also given to Rosalie Swana, for her song “Cute Corona 2”.
